What excites me most about being at Willow is how quickly ideas turn into reality. One day we’re discussing a concept, and the next I’m already building or testing it with the team. The pace is exciting because it means I get to see the direct impact of my work almost immediately. Working on cutting-edge projects with people from completely different backgrounds means I’m constantly exposed to new ways of thinking. I also love that Willow’s environment encourages curiosity and experimentation. If I have an idea, I know I can share it and get feedback right away, often from someone whose expertise is completely different from mine. That mix of perspectives often leads to creative solutions none of us would have come up with alone. Being part of a dynamic team means my contributions matter, and I get to be involved from the early design discussions all the way to problem-solving and testing.

We have many projects in the works at Willow Laboratories, and we’re lucky to have teams stretching across many domains and fields of expertise working together under one roof. Every day I can walk over to the head of a research team to pick their brain and discuss how to tackle some new challenge, since our teams are small, dynamic, and flat. I’ve had the chance to contribute to very different projects, and I learn something new every time! Here at Willow Laboratories I am pushed to reinvent things, make them better every time, and offer my own ideas and hear others’ ideas. The new perspective someone can give when they have a different expertise than yours can get you kicking off with new ideas.
