Joe Kiani
Executive Chairman
Joe Kiani is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Willow Laboratories, a health and wellness innovator dedicated to advancing noninvasive monitoring solutions and reinventing diabetes care. Prior to Willow, Kiani founded Masimo in 1989 and led it from a garage startup to a publicly traded medical technology company with over $2 billion in revenue. He holds more than 600 patents and co-invented measure-through-motion pulse oximetry. His technology is used to monitor over 200 million patients annually. He also founded the Patient Safety Movement Foundation to help eliminate preventable hospital deaths. Kiani is co-founder and CEO of Like Minded Labs, a media technology company reimagining virtual collaboration. In addition, he serves as Chairman of Clarity, a breast cancer-focused medtech company, and SMS Biotech, which is democratizing adult stem cell technologies for human health, and is an investor and board member at CDX Medical Technologies (a pioneer in ECMO pump innovation), MY01 (transforming diagnosis of limb perfusion injuries), and IRAMED (a leader in MRI-compatible patient monitoring and infusion systems).

Ken Buck
Board Member
Ken Buck graduated from Princeton University in 1981 and the University of Wyoming Law School in 1985. After law school, Ken worked for Congressman Dick Cheney (R-WY) on the Iran-Contra Investigation and then became a prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice. In 1990, Ken joined the Colorado U.S. Attorney’s Office where he became the Chief of the Criminal Division. During his tenure as a federal prosecutor, Ken taught as an Adjunct Law Professor.

Mohamed Diab
Board Member & Chief Technology Officer
Mohamed Diab is an accomplished technology leader in the medical device field, bringing decades of expertise in non-invasive sensing and physiological monitoring to guide Willow Laboratories’ research, development, and product innovation. With an extensive patent portfolio spanning multi-wavelength sensors, alarm systems, and advanced non-invasive analytical devices, he leads cross-functional teams in engineering, product design, and regulatory strategy. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Diab previously held senior technical leadership roles at Masimo Corporation. As CTO, he advances Willow’s mission to deliver breakthrough medical technologies that enhance patient care and extend healthspan through safety, accuracy, and scalability.

Parag Saxena
Board Member
Parag Saxena is a Founding General Partner and CEO of New Silk Partners a USD 1.383 billion fund founded in 2007 focused on making investments in India and the sub-continent. He is also co-founded Vedanta Capital LLC a U.S. venture capital firm founded in 2006. Previously, he was CEO of INVESCO Private Capital, one of the world’s oldest and largest independent asset management companies. During the course of his 23-year tenure at INVESCO, the firm and its predecessors made over 300 investments, including Amgen, Costco, PictureTel, Polycom, Staples and Starbucks. He was responsible for both direct and fund of funds investment activities where he led over $8 USD billion in peak assets. At INVESCO Private Capital, he led over 90 investments, a third of which went on to become public companies. These include, Alkermes, Celgene, Genomic Health, Indigo, Masimo, Transgenomic, Xenon Pharmaceuticals, Amber Networks, ARM Holdings, MetroPCS and Volterra.

Said Hilal has been the CEO of Applied Medical since its establishment in 1987. As a new generation medical device company, Applied Medical utilizes innovation in design, development and processes to enhance clinical outcomes while reducing the cost of healthcare.
